Based in Aspen, Colorado, Larry MacIntyre Catering hosts an array of events. From weddings, to business lunches, to birthdays, to memorials, we deliver on service, taste, and excellence. We are professional yet fun.
Executive Chef, Founder
Larry’s culinary career began in 10th grade when he turned his mother's kitchen into a food lab. Through his youthful experimentations with food, he realized this was his career path. To fulfill that goal, Larry graduated from the Culinary Institute of America. His first job post graduating, was an apprenticeship at the Omni International Hotel, focusing first in the French kitchen, then moving forward to work across all their kitchens. His experience grew as he worked at Trump Castle, Trump Plaza, followed by Wilmington Club where he catered for large companies like Dupont and Hercules Corporations.
A phone call from his older brother, John, brought Larry to Aspen with the prospect of great skiing. Not only did Larry fall in love with skiing, but his catering business was soon launched. From a legendary business man, Larry learned the philosophy of his business: find the best ingredients and use the best seasonings.
Today Larry boasts over four decades of experience which he will share with you at your next party.
Peggy "Piglet" Harris-Foster
Food Production Executive
Peggy “Piglet” Harris-Foster has worked by Larry’s side since 1980. Piglet is our leader in food production and quality assurance. Nothing leaves the kitchen until it has met her high level of approval.
Piglet attended the Advanced Chefs Refresher course at the Culinary Institute of America. She also headlines as Powder Cat Tour guide atop Aspen mountain, teaches stand up paddle boarding, whitewater kayaking, and downhill mountain biking.
Her sense of adventure and enthusiasm comes across in her cooking. She loves the creativity of cooking, as well as organizing and administrating our catering events.
